Panic as Explosion rocks Lagos

A huge explosion has ripped apart a bungalow at Oworonshoki area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, destroying houses and wounding.
A deafening noise was heard at about 1:00pm on Sunday at House 88, behind Oworonshoki bus stop
which caused a serious vibration and panic among the people.
A huge crowd was seen gathering at the scene of the explosion, which left several houses destroyed and the windows of some buildings shattered.
Emergency rescuers were in the area to rescue lives. They include officials of the Lagos State Fire Services, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, the police and others.

Kabiawu Babajide, an eye witness said the explosion was so mighty that it shook the ground and shattered the glass windows of many houses in the area.
“There was a powerful explosion that just took place now around 1:00 pm at House 88, L&K b/stop Oworonsoki, Lagos, Nigeria. At the scene of the explosion many people said it was a bomb explosion while others said it was a gas explosion.
“From what we have seen on the ground, it is clear that the blast wave and shock destroyed the building and other buildings within its proximity. The explosion also shattered glasses within 1km of its radius. We believe there are casualties,” says Babajide.

General Manager, Michael Akindele debunked claims that the explosion was a bomb, saying that it was a chemical explosion.

He said the explosion occurred in a bungalow where gas and carbonated drinks were being sold.

According to him, a leakage from one of the gas cylinders ignited the explosion and that with the aid of the carbonated wares being sold, the explosion was massive and destroyed some houses close to the building.

He said the bungalow housed five shops, one of which the gas was being sold and other carbonated drinks.

Akindele said four people were injured in the explosion, which includes three male adult and a six-month old baby, saying that the baby had been rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, for urgent medical attention.
“No life was lost, we only have four casualties, three adult male and a six-month old baby. The recovery process is still ongoing. It is not a bomb explosion but a chemical explosion,” he said.
Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe said his men were swift in responding to the emergency and that only four people were injured.

See African Community Where Males and Females don't Speak the same Language (Video)

Recognized as a major tourist attraction in Nigeria and Africa, Cross River State has many unique tourist attractions that make it a state of choice. One of these attractions abounds in a Ubang community in Obudu, Cross River State, where men speak a language distinct from that of their female counterparts. Located in the northern part of Cross River State, Ubang is about a six-hour drive from Calabar, the state capital. Surrounded by mountains, the Ubangais are mainly farmers, known for their cocoa, cassava, yams and producers of other cash crops. The bilingual legacy of the Ubang clan goes back several centuries and according to different versions, when it was created, the Ubang people were particularly favored by God for being the guardian of two languages. It is considered taboo for a man to speak the language of women and vice versa, even if both understand each other while speaking. Those who in the past tried to speak the language of the other sex were ridiculed by

Funny Compilation of Worst things Mother-in-laws ever did: Real Confessions

1. My husband and I went to visit my MIL at her house. She had moved into my hubby's old room and was showing us the changes she made. We sat on the bed to talk to her and, I kid you not, she said, "You know what I did in this bed? I masturbated." 2. My mother-in-law got upset because I wouldn’t tell her which s3x position her granddaughter was conceived in. 3. On the way out the door to go to the rehearsal dinner for my wedding, my MIL patted my stomach and asked if there was “something I wanted to let everyone know" about why we were getting married, implying I looked pregnant. 4. I was hosting Thanksgiving dinner and spent about seven to eight hours cooking. My MIL showed up with duplicate dishes of just about everything I made (we told her to only bring two dishes, tops). When I commented that we had a lot more food than I was expecting, she said "Well, we don't really need to put yours out, do we? Just put yours in the freezer."
